OG Enterprises Announces Construction of New Headquarters

Building with 100% Solar Offset Planned for its Electricity Needs.

The future on the Space Coast is getting brighter in 2022 with OG Enterprises' current and planned commercial projects, which will be focused on sustainable development to help make the community better for all who live, work, and vacation here.

CAPE CANAVERAL September, 08, 2022 — OG Enterprises, Commercial Project Development Department, announced today that the construction of its new headquarters is underway and will set a goal to reduce carbon emissions and operating costs by investing in a rooftop solar installation. The firm is striving to set a model for others to follow in making The Space Coast a leader in sustainability and resiliency.  

With their latest expansion, OG Enterprises is focused on implementing practical and sustainable solutions to emissions reduction efforts and address the rising costs of inflation and doing business. To that end, the investment in developing projects that incorporate renewable energy technology continues to evolve, resulting in not only producing the firm’s own electricity from solar, but also when companies utilize energy-efficient measures in day-to-day operations, this makes a positive impact on our environment.

The company is also focused on supporting the local economy by contracting the installation of the project through local small businesses from the concept through construction. As similar projects grow in scale and popularity, this investment for the firm’s headquarters will enable OG Enterprises to help spur the development of localized renewable energy. 

OG Enterprises is beginning their project with a  29 kilowatt DC rooftop installation of solar panels, which is projected to provide a 100% energy offset and essentially eliminate the firm's electric bill. It is estimated that their investment will pay for itself at least three times over the next 30 years. The firm’s goal is to be one of the top corporate clean energy users in the area.

Building on this momentum, OG Enterprises is excited to announce that this project is the first business in the City of Cape Canaveral that is expected to achieve a 100% offset for the electricity consumed under the current Florida Net Metering laws. The solar energy generated from these new systems is equivalent to the amount of electricity used to power 3-5 homes annually.  Because solar has no emissions, while silently generating pure and clean energy, this is the equivalent of removing 17.8 tons of carbon, planting 3,360 trees, and avoiding 324,794 car miles.
