OG Enterprises Announces Expansion Plans for $50 Million Dollar Development in Cape Canaveral
CAPE CANAVERAL, FL –Dec 5, 2024 – OG Enterprises has received the necessary approvals from the City of Cape Canaveral to start planning/engineering and permitting for the continued phases of their development, Waves District, in Cape Canaveral, FL. Once completed the total project cost is estimated to be $50 Million Dollars. The Waves District development will combine retail, commercial, entertainment, The Residences at Waves District and Cape Canaveral’s very own Destination Downtown Food Hall.
Waves District is a 4 phase project. The 1st phase has been completed and the 2nd phase of the project is now officially underway. The completed development will have approx 35,000 sf of commercial space which will include dining, shopping and entertainment. The 3rd and 4th phase will be The Residences at Waves District and is positioned to be the centerpiece of the future downtown of Cape Canaveral.
Phase 2 is proposed to have a 17,000 sf commercial building to include a planned 8,000 sf Destination Food Hall. The developer is expecting to complete the design and permitting for phase 2 within a year and plans to break ground shortly thereafter.
The Residences at Waves District™ is planned to be a vibrant resort and is set to become the focal point of the community and will feature spacious, family friendly condo-style units for short and long term rental. The resort will have a total of 104 fully furnished units with different types of layouts to include studio, 1 bed, 2 bed, 3 bed and 4 bed options. The resort will have onsite shopping, dining, entertainment and recreation making it a true tourist destination.
Destination Downtown Food Hall™ at Waves District will be the 2nd location for this brand, also owned and operated under the OG Enterprises umbrella. The Cape Canaveral location is proposed to feature eight local food vendors with a full bar. This location will have a family-friendly sit down atmosphere in contrast to the Cocoa Beach location which is set up as a take-out style restaurant. The vision is to support local entrepreneurs and chefs by providing essential infrastructure at a lower cost than starting a traditional stand alone restaurant. OG Enterprises is hands on when selecting vendors and curating menus to foster a collaborative, non competitive environment that ensures a diverse range of cuisine options.
